Answer: Implied consent basically means that when you sign up and obtain an Oklahoma drivers license, you are giving your implied consent that if you are stopped and questioned about a DUI or alcohol-related offense, that you will agree to take a blood test or a breath test, whichever test is appropriate at the time. That’s why it’s called “implied” consent. However, you could always revoke that implied consent, and that is why they read or are supposed to read the implied consent notification to you when you’re stopped and charged with DUI.
