Question: I have been charged with first-offense DUI in Oklahoma. What are my chances of getting a modified drivers license?

Answer: Yeah, somebody, if it’s a first-time offender, more often than not the courts are willing to cut them a break and give them, more often than not, a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week modification. There are some judges that may end up restricting somebody on their first time, depending upon, for example, if they took a breath test and they scored extremely high, that may weigh against them. But the courts, they look at these each individually depending upon the person and what their case is in making a decision of whether or not they’ll grant the modification. But generally, for a first time offender, it’s rare that somebody ever gets denied.
